Jay is a founding partner of Barton Spector Wealth Strategies. He has been providing clients with financial and investment planning for nearly a decade. Prior to that, he served as vice president of municipal finance at RBC Capital Markets. Early in his career, Jay served as executive director of the Arizona Water Infrastructure Finance Authority in the administration of former Governor Janet Napolitano and as an assistant to former U.S. Secretary of the Interior Bruce Babbitt.

He earned a Bachelor of General Studies in Business Administration degree from Northern Arizona University and a Master of Science in real estate degree from The Johns Hopkins University. Jay is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.

Jay and his wife, Bethany, live in Phoenix with their two children and he is active in the community. He serves on the Fiesta Bowl Committee and is active in the Arizona Alumni Chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. He is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership (Class XX) and he is also a member of USA and Arizona Swimming, where he serves as a volunteer meet official at local, state and regional events.
